Refinance Auto Loan After Bankruptcy
Getting Auto Loans After Bankruptcy
Filing for a bankruptcy is one of the most difficult decisions in the life of any person. Bankruptcy not only causes us to surrender our assets but it also remains on our credit report for a very long time. A bad credit score in turn makes it very difficult to secure loans at attractive rates of interests. So, even if you manage to get a loan, it would be at a higher rate of interest as compared to the rates charged for other people who have a respectful credit score. However, getting auto loans after bankruptcy is more easier than applying for a credit card or an unsecured loan because the creditors will be using the car as a collateral. This means that if you do not pay your monthly installments on time, the car would be confiscated by the lenders.
If you have filed for a bankruptcy earlier and still wish to buy a car by taking a loan, then you can only qualify for the bad credit car loans. Such people have the option of securing finance from the sub prime auto lenders who will obviously charge a high rate of interest than the normal rates. This is because you fall in the ‘high risk category’ for these lenders. However, considering the need for people buying cars after bankruptcy, the rate of interests are not too high. Apart from the sub prime auto lenders, there are also the professional money lenders who will charge much higher rate of interest then them. These kind of lenders will not conduct a complete background check about your financial situation or stability of income as done by the conventional lenders.
Before you apply for refinance auto loan after bankruptcy, you need to decide what amount you need and plan things accordingly. You should take loan only after calculating what your equated monthly installment will be and asking yourself whether you are in a position to pay it comfortably. Proper financial planning suggests that you should not stretch your finances too much to buy a car as you can also have other necessities in life. Then it is the time to view and study your credit report carefully before you approach the lenders for a refinance auto loan after bankruptcy.
Auto loans for people with bad credit can be the best ways to improve your credit history by paying off all the installments of the loan on time. At the time of approval, you will surely be asked why you had to file for bankruptcy earlier. You should prepare the proper answer to this question as an unsatisfactory answer can reduce the chances of getting an auto loan. You should be able to assure your creditors that you are financially well off and have the ability to pay the loan easily.
Pre Approved Auto Loans
Pre Approved Auto Loans Procedure
A pre approved auto loan works in the same way as a pre approved housing loan. You first set up a meeting with the lender to know the loan amount that can be availed. The lender provides you with an application form and after filling this form, the lender provides you with a blank check which will have a certain credit limit. This check ensures that you can go around and have a look at the cars that you like the most before settling on a particular one. The check is valid for a couple of months and even if you do not use it, no penalties would be involved. Once you are sure about the car that you want to buy, you can sign the check and buy the car.

Torsion Bar
The technical definition of torsion bar, is, that it is a metal bar or a flexible spring that renders a spring action to a machine or a vehicle. In case of a vehicle, it’s rigidly fixed to the frame or chassis of a vehicle at one end. And at the other end it is fixed to the spindle, axle or to the torsion bar suspension arm. When the vehicle moves in the forward direction, it generates some natural forces. Such forces create huge amount of torque on the torsion bar ultimately making it twist along its axis. The fixture of the torsion bar individually depends on the specifications of a vehicle design. These bars are used in vehicles where the suspension is of limited space. The basic idea of a vehicle bearing a torsion bar is, it renders support to the weight of a vehicle. It engulfs the resilient forces that is produced by the vehicle during the motility and the motion. And lastly, keeps a good contact of the tires with the road’s surface.
In case of these bars being conventionally used in production machines and devices, the idea it provides remains the same. Let’s revise it once again. The bar is positioned to the chassis with a bracket which extends from the front suspension to the rear point of the vehicle. It endures a vehicle’s twists and loads about its center just to provide springing action to it. I hope the basic action and definition of torsion bar is clear till here.
The design of a torsion bar is based on the quantity of torque that is used in the angle of twist, the extent of the spring twist and also on the overall dimensions and materials used to build this metal bar. This kind of a suspension system in an automobile, helps avoid hazardous bumps, jerks and bouncy effects whilst driving.
According to the definition of torsion bar being a spring, it literally isn’t. It just provides an effect like one. Thus if it comes to the question of replacing a torsion bar; very simple. Merely by fidgeting with the tensioning bolts and using not-so ultra sophisticated removal tools, you would be able to remove a faulty torsion bar form a vehicle. Just follow these few technical steps and you are on your way to replace the old with the new.
Torsion Bar Removal Process
Required Tools
- A Variable Socket
- A Jack
- A Tensioner
- A Wrench
Instructions
Step 1: This is the first step towards the working of the torsion bar removal. So, raise the hood of the vehicle with the help of a jack. This will help you get an in-depth view of the entire suspension system.
Step 2: After you are comfortably positioned, gently remove the torsion bar’s bolts which are on the cover plate. Do this with the help of a wrench.
Step 3: Notice that, the plate cover is quite loosened up. Now you can easily detach the bar out with your bare hands.
Step 4: But before you lighten the tension from the torsion bar, the adjustment level of the adjusting bolts is supposed to be measured. Note this measurement down it’ll help you in the installation of the new bar.
Step 5: Once you do this, ease the torsion bar and place the tools with the adapters over it.
Step 6: Firmly tighten the tools up so that the adjustment bolts of the torsion bar is raised a bit higher. This is done by the action of torsion bar adjusters.
Step 7: This is the final step of the torsion bar removal. Unscrew the torsion bar’s adjustment bolts and loosen it up gently. Check if the bar is easy to remove now.
